I attended the Cupertino version online and I can tell you, while it was geared toward designing for Vision Pro, it was extremely insightful. I found the session on how Apple built the Environments enlightening, as it covered some of the mysteries and optimizations need to put Vision Pro users on The Moon or at Lake Hood.
If you missed the Cupertino event, you can catch it an SXSW.

\nMy journey with the Apple Vision Pro began in August 2023 when I attended Apple Vision Pro developer labs at Apple Park, Cupertino. I got to spend the day, with my own code and my Mac on the pre-release device. It was life changing in countless ways.
\nApple is bringing the Apple Vision Pro developer labs to Toronto again in March and April. Even if you're mildly interested in developing for Vision Pro, I highly recommend that you take advantage of this opportunity.

\nThanks to Dave Verver's iOS Dev Weekly newsletter I found out about this repo, and the talk that Warren Moore gave on a Swift-based render for Vision Pro, using Metal and ARKit.

Last week we got a new Apple Immersive Adventure, Episode 4, Deep Water Solo. As it says on the tin, \"Scale the craggy seaside cliffs of Mallorca, Spain, with world-class climber Kai Lightner as he makes a risky free-solo ascent on Cova del Diablo.\"

WWDC 2025 & visionOS 3.0 I don't know about you but I find the socials flooded with substance-less click-bate posts about future tech to be disingenuous. Unless you are new to developing in the Apple ecosphere (Welcome if you are new), you would know that Apple announces new tech and operating systems every year at WWDC. In the Before Time, Steve Jobs would announce new tech at the January MacWorld conference keynote, but starting around the iPhone 4 introduction on June 7, 2010, the WWDC...
Me wearing my first Vision Pro at the Rochester NY Apple Store One Year With Apple Vision Pro It's been just over a year for early adopters of the Apple Vision Pro. I think for the majority of users it's been an amazing change for how we work and consume media. The bandwagon jumpers all returned their devices after the 14 day cooling off period. Like any new device it has its detractors, but I think a lot of us realize that Apple positioned the device as a Pro purchase to introduce this...
Early XR prototype? The Arnolfini Portrait by Jan Van Eyck is probably the one of the first extended reality proof of concepts I saw. The truth is that an artists prowess was in depicting reality, before photography was invented. Still I was inspired by this artwork's attention to detail and trompe l'oeil ('fool the eye"). NVIDIA Adopts Vision Pro with it's Issac Groot AI Enabled Robots Unveiled at CES earlier this month, NVIDIA's keynote introduced several amazing new features, but Issac...
